During January, we collected gloves and socks for Healthcare for the Homeless. We gathered 501 pairs of socks, gloves, and hats.

Kids Against Hunger campaign is in full swing. Students can contribute to their bottles anytime. We will be collecting the bottles periodically until the big food packing event on March 31st.

CAREER DAY

Career Day, which takes place Friday, February 19th this year, is a special morning for all students to learn about various careers.  We have 20-30 guests spend the morning giving four 25-minute talks to small groups of students about their careers. The guest presenters have the flexibility to choose the age group and presentation style that is most comfortable to them.  Some of the presenters are parents of students, and many others are members of the community.  A goal of career day is to have a variety of careers represented, from the obvious to the surprising.  After the presentations, the school provides a free lunch with home-cooked food for the presenters.
